The United States Postal Service (USPS) recently announced their new Ground Advantage service, which is basically USPS Retail Ground, Parcel Select Ground and First-Class Package Service all incorporated into one easy service to be called USPS Ground Advantage. The USPS Ground Advantage service is designed to provide a cheaper option for packages that don’t require overnight or two-day shipping. It offers delivery in 2-5 business days, depending on the destination. This service is available for packages up to 70 pounds, with a maximum size of 130 inches in length and girth combined and set to launch Summer 2023.
The USPS Ground Advantage service is a great option for eBay buyers who do not need to receive items quickly and for sellers to ship larger items without incurring added costs. With shipping rates increasing this is finally an option that is supposed to lessen selling costs and simplify the shipping process because honestly who knows when to choose first class vs. parcel post? Isn’t it the same thing? All I’m saying is that there is currently so many options that it make sense to condense.
For eBay sellers the key is going to be not to sell items that are available with quick delivery on sites like Amazon, this definitely gives those sites the upper hand. Knowing this us smaller eBay sellers need to stay ahead of the game by focusing on one of a kind items (ooak), this is how you will flourish. When eBay first started it was a place to find ooak items that you cant get elsewhere, hence people will be willing to wait so it is time to get back to sourcing more desirable hard to find ooak items!
Here’s some of my newest items!
