Are you a reseller, still selling on a single platform? Thinking about cross listing but the thought of possibly selling the same item twice scares you? Well, that is possible but cross listing sites have made it easier than ever to delist across multiple sites and they offer many benefits that in my opinion outweighs the risks.
I started writing this article to basically explain the different sites price points & options cross listing sites offer but it quickly turned into more of an explanation as to why these sites even exist & how you can use them to grow your business, whether you sell full time or part time.
In the past resale sites were limited but in recent years sites such as Poshmark, Mercari, Depop, Vinted, FB marketplace, and others have extended a resellers possible reach drastically. Which, in turn created the need for cross listing sites because lets face it cross listing is time consuming and there are only so many work hours in a day right? So, what is stopping you? Are YOU using a cross listing site like vendoo or listperfectly (there are more) for your items? I know you’re wondering why anyone would pay to cross post, I mean once the photos & description are done it’s just an easy copy paste, right? Well the services they provide include much more that, they also provide analytics! Sure you can input your sales into a spreadsheet and create your own graphs but these sites easily do it for you, providing realtime information you can use to help you make better sourcing decisions for your business while saving you time. Personally my favorite info they provide is which brands I sell more of and which sites sell more of those brands. I thought I knew but this info may shock you. Knowing this info helps make better sourcing decisions. Another feature I absolutely love is their delist/relist functionality which “just like it sounds” makes delisting stale items and relisting them easy and quick which will increase the platform’s algorithm and we all know that drives listings to the top. Another perk is that the cross listing site will have your listings saved, if you’re a reseller you know that sometimes listings just “disappear” on certain sites… I don’t know about you but I hate doing work twice!
